No special materials required for this task, all you need is a transfer film, or Swarovski crystals, iron on rhinestones, iron and ironing board, and white paper. The first step is to select a model or a drawing to print on your fabric. You can create your own unique design or make use of the grounds of one of the many online stores, or available on CD for this purpose on the market.
Once you've selected the design of your choice, the next task is sourcing a good quality film transfer or paper transfer heat proof. Available online, or a supermarket your neighborhood or stationery, these transparent sheets are very simple to use and require no professional expertise. They come in a variety of sizes, so you'll always find one that matches the size of your fabric or garment. Once you have acquired the film transfer, you are ready to go into the actual printing stage.
Print the design of your choice on plain white paper using a laser or inkjet. If possible, try to use paper that is slightly smaller in size as your movie transfer. After printing the design, take transfer film and remove the glue, non-liner of the transfer film. Use duct tape and fix the corners of the transparent sheet on your patterned paper taking care to keep the sticky side of the film on top.
Now, with the help of tongs, carefully place each crystal of your choice on your design. Choose colors that suit your design and match the fabric or garment on which you create your design. Remember to place the rhinestones face up on your design. (If you do not want to use your design, you can immediately replace the white cloth and store it for later use).
After putting all the crystals in place, the transfer of the entire configuration on your fabric, making sure to use a hard surface such as plate base for the fabric. Ensure that the transfer film and design are placed exactly as you want the design to be on your tissue, the sticky side of the transfer film should be placed on the fabric. This keeps the design and crystals in place.
Cover your design and transfer film with a sheet of PTFE. Helps to protect the sole of your iron and also creates a uniform surface heating. Move the preheated iron on the PTFE sheet. Make sure the iron is preheated to a temperature suitable to fabric. You will need to pass the iron over the design of approximately 9-10 seconds for the size of crystals of 3 mm to 4 mm thick crystals, it would take more time to iron. Maintaining the correct temperature and timing is very important to transfer the pattern on your clothes.
Once you're done ironing, allow the PTFE sheet to cool, then remove the transfer film slowly, inch by inch. Ideally, you should allow for both the garment and the transfer film to reach room temperature and wait at least 24 hours before removing the film transfer. Your design and the pattern is transferred onto the fabric and the garment is ready to use. Start exploring your creativity and stand out the rest.
